The farmhouse, the building hosting our hotel, is a holy place for the Basque people. It means more than a place to life, the inhabitants of it are united with their ancestors. The archaeologist and anthropologist Jose Miguel de Barandiaran, the house is “Earth and shelter, temple and cemetery, material support, symbol and common centre of the alive and death members of a family”.
The installations combine harmonious, hundred years old and fine materials of its structure with a modern and functional decoration and room facilities. They offer necessary services to give an optimal answer to the most demanding requests. Both common spaces and the outside facilities invite to read and chat, to walk together or to say goodbye to the afternoon’s sun sitting on a stone terrace.
We look for harmony and coherence with the environment, adding environmental sustainability criteria and engagement towards people. Thus, our design and facilitates have been adapted to the needs of disabled people to enjoy all the installations. Within our commitment to sustainability we use raw materials and food that meet all the requirements based on ecological productions criteria and fair trade. Our products are also original of the region.
